Putting the Oulu into Joulu

“Joulu” in Finnish has any and everything to do with Christmas and or the month of December. I’m not sure which came first: if the month was called Joulu and then they called Christmas Joulu or if Christmas was called Joulu and then they said “hei! let’s call the WHOLE month Christmas!” either way, we now have a whole MONTH of Christmas, which is very rad.

As I am still lacking brain power to write anything longer than a paragraph before I just start blabbering gibberish, I will stop here and leave you with some photos of Christmas in Oulu, or Oulu in Christmas.. I’m going on holiday now, so won’t write till I am back in January. Merry merry Christmas and thank you reading this blog (even if it was by mistake).
